ICMS Travel, as the official housing bureau for the Philosophy of Education Society of Australasia (PESA) 45th Annual Conference has been able to secure discounted accommodation rates at selected hotels. Reservations need to be made before Friday 30 October 2015. The room rates are per night and do not include breakfast. Accommodation will be allocated in order of receipt of bookings.
Arrival Time
Check-in time is usually from 14:00. Should you wish to guarantee your room is ready before the hotel check-in time, it is recommended that you book and pay for the room for the evening prior to your arrival. Failure to advise your arrival time may mean that your room will be released.
Accommodation Deposit
To secure your reservation a deposit equivalent to one night's room tariff is required at the time of your booking. Please ensure that valid credit card details are provided at the time of submitting your booking as these details are required to be passed onto the hotel as a guarantee. The hotel may not initially deduct a deposit payment from your credit card but may charge your full payment at the time of checkout. The hotel may charge a processing fee on payments by credit card. Bookings cannot be made until ICMS Travel receives your credit card details. Room rates are in Australian Dollars and include the Australian Goods and Services Tax (GST).
Accommodation Cancellations
Cancellation fees will apply for all cancellations received after Friday, 30 October 2015 or if the room is not occupied on the advised date of arrival. The relevant hotel cancellation policy terms and conditions will apply and the cost will be borne by the delegate. The Conference Office cannot guarantee new bookings or amendments to existing bookings after Friday 30 October 2015.

Kew Student Residence Guest Information
We are offering special rates for the PESA Conference. The cost of a room is $45 per night for a Single Room and $30 per person, per night for Twin Share (usually $50 for twin-share). This cost includes breakfast.
The Kew Student Residence is located at 25 Mary St in Kew, just 6km east of the CBD and is one of Melbourne’s safest and sought after suburbs.
The Route 109 tram (which stops outside ACU) leaves from the end of Mary St and takes between 20 and 25minutes. Glenferrie train station is a 15min walk or 5min tram ride (Route 16). Myki cards for train, tram and bus travel are available at a newsagency around the corner from the Residence.
Rooms and facilities
- The Residence provides basic rooms with a desk, drawers and a wardrobe.
- Approximately half the rooms have two single beds. The other half of the rooms are located in the old mansion and have bunk beds. Please let us know on the booking form if you would prefer not to have a bunk bed.
- Wireless Internet Access is available and is included in the nightly charge.
- A pillow, linen and blanket/doona is provided. However, please be aware that we are not a hotel and do not have extra staff, so you will need to make your own bed on arrival.
- There are coin-operated laundry facilities. An iron and ironing board is also available in the laundry.
- There are shared bathroom facilities.
- Tea and coffee is available in the shared dining room as well as a refrigerator.
- There is an outdoor courtyard, TV room (with DVD player), pool table and couches.
- Access to the building is available 24hrs a day via thumbprint, so there is no need to carry a card/key with you.

Cancellation is possible prior to your stay without incurring a charge, however we ask that you please inform us as soon as possible if you no longer require accommodation. Should you choose to end your stay early, you are still liable for 50% of the cost of the nights remaining.
Payment
We do not have credit card facilities. You will be able to pay by direct deposit or by cash after being invoiced. We ask for 50% of the cost to be paid up-front as a deposit. To ensure that the final 50% is paid on departure, we require either cash or evidence of the direct deposit having been made.
