The affairs of the Society are managed by an Executive Committee, appointed by the members at the AGM. PESA rules allow for some functions to be delegated to one of more sub-Executive Committees, currently noted as ‘Portfolios’ and listed below.

PresidentMarek Tesar The University of Auckland, New Zealand Professor Marek Tesar is Head of School and the Associate Dean International at the Faculty of Education and Social Work, University of Auckland. He is Editor-in-Chief of Policy Futures in Education (SAGE), Deputy Editor of PESA’s flagship and leading academic journal in the field, Educational Philosophy and Theory (T&F), and Deputy Editor of another of PESA’s journals, Access: Contemporary Issues in Education. He also serves as one of the Editors on Educational Philosophy and Theory: Editor’s Choice (T&F) and New Directions in the Philosophy of Education (Routledge).
